We are excited to deliver three Single Homeless Prevention Services (SHPS) in Islington, Enfield and Waltham Forest at the forefront of tackling homelessness in London. Embedded in the local authority Housing Options team the services provide support to single adults with low to medium needs, to help prevent or relieve their homelessness and then sustain their tenancies.

As the Senior Floating Caseworker, you will be responsible for completing Personal Housing Plans, Preventing or Relieving Homelessness and or Tenancy Sustainment across three of our SHPS services, as well as the three SHPS services delivered by our partners in Brent, Ealing and Hackney.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual, who can hit the ground running to ensure that the services achieve a positive and lasting impact on our client’s lives.  

To be successful you will have: 

  • Experience of completing in-depth assessments and producing co-produced Personal Housing Plans focused on setting and achieving goals.
  • Experience of delivering high quality and structured interventions that have relieved and prevented homelessness.
  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships with landlords and lettings agents in the private rented sector and other types of housing provider.
  • An up to date working knowledge of welfare benefits and reform and its relation housing as well as a good understanding of tenure law. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in close partnership with external agencies and effectively liaise with a range of service providers or agencies.
