Do you believe everyone should have a place to call home and the chance to lead a fulfilling life?
At SHP (Single Homeless Project), you’ll be part of one of London’s leading homelessness prevention charities, a dynamic and growing organisation changing 8,000 lives every year across London - from supporting people in crisis to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment.
SHP was founded by a group of homeless people in the mid-1970s and more than 40 years on, we still try to look at the world through our clients’ eyes, putting their needs and viewpoints at the centre of everything we do. Above all, we believe that, no matter what challenges they face, everyone we work with has the capacity to take control of their lives and shape their own futures.
THE ROLE
We currently have a really exciting opportunity for you to join our team in Wandsworth as a Project Worker. Reporting to the Manager, your role will require you to develop, support and motivate the people who we house.
The role requires that you be willing to work a shift based rota which will include a mixture of early & late shifts with some weekend and bank holidays included.
You will be ready to develop your own learning and practice through team work. You will fit into a team who work within a strengths and recovery framework. You will be capable of supporting others in a context of continuous improvement. You will be creative and motivated to inspire opportunities for our clients to access.
If you think you’ve got what it takes, especially if you have experience of working with clients who have complex and enduring mental health issues, then we would love to hear from you!
