Do you believe everyone should have a place to call home and the chance to lead a fulfilling life?
At SHP (Single Homeless Project), you’ll be part of one of London’s leading homelessness prevention charities, a dynamic and growing organisation changing 8,000 lives every year across London - from supporting people in crisis to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment.
SHP was founded by a group of homeless people in the mid-1970s and more than 40 years on, we still try to look at the world through our clients’ eyes, putting their needs and viewpoints at the centre of everything we do. Above all, we believe that, no matter what challenges they face, everyone we work with has the capacity to take control of their lives and shape their own futures.
SHP are excited to have started working on a brand new partnership with MTC Novo and the National Probation Service (NPS) to deliver a pan London housing support service. This new contract started on October 1st 2018, and involves SHP providing a high quality housing advice and access service across the entire NPS London Division. With SHP staff co-located in probation offices, we work in close partnership with probation to support medium to high risk offenders to either sustain their current accommodation or secure new housing as needed.
We are seeking a Lead Floating Support Worker to join our team to deliver intensive support to medium-to-high support clients. Working with clients across your patch, you will support a caseload of up to 18 clients for a maximum of 12 weeks. Support will be focused on core objectives with the aim of delivering effective interventions that the client can sustain going forwards. If interested, please read the Job Profile for more information.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic worker to join our high performing, friendly and supportive team that prides itself on the difference we make to our clients lives on a daily basis.
